Scott Freeman MD has joined Health Enhancement Products Inc. (HEPI), Bloomfield Hills, MI, as chief science officer. In this role Dr. Freeman will oversee planning, supervising and reviewing all clinical trials, isolation and characterization of the company’s algae-derived bioactives, validation methodologies, and product platform development. In addition, he will work with outside scientific consultants and researchers under contract to HEPI, including bio-pharmacologists, analytical chemists, food scientists, and physiologists, among others.
